DBI uses the latest technology and first rate processes to deliver quality banking services that are in compliance with Islamic Sharia. Services will include Internet banking, mobile banking, and telephone banking. DBI will also issue debit cards to allow clients to access funds through both DBI’s own and other banks’ ATMs.


These services will be delivered at the bank’s new headquarters and a network of representative offices and ATM kiosks. New branches will be added in the second year of operations. These highly automated services will be facilitated by the Dahabshiil Group’s telecom network which currently operates in the Somali region. DBI will provide overseas customers access to Internet banking and ATM machines. The local network of representative offices will be open to clients in Somalia who will perform locally their transactions such as opening of Letters of Credit and transfers for fast processing at the Headquarters.

DBI has facilities and equipment that are modern and customer friendly. The bank has processes and procedures that not only meet the business requirements for service quality but also international standards for quality, controls, compliance and innovation. The facilities include a suitable building in the city center, network of computers, servers as well as a highly effective Islamic banking platform along with tested Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suites
